Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Being the child of two NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the space industry and spent the last five years covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time she also covered impeachment trials for the president and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Additionally, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump extensively. The trip included a shady visit to Afghanistan. Prior to being hired by the channel in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin, who is a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films for companies such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
